Sunday morning

Sunday worship

Our principal Sunday morning service starts at 10.30am.

We are a 'low' church, which means that our worship is generally informal and unfussy. We don't usually wear robes, and we keep things like processing, bowing and making the sign of the cross to a minimum.

We have communion on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. On the first and third Sundays we have Morning Worship, a slightly different service with no communion. If there is a fifth week in the month, we have an all-age service, suitable for adults and children alike.

Children have their own groups which they go off during the service. (You can find more information about this here.) In addition, at every Morning Worship service, we have a short all-age sermon at the start to involve the children as much as we can.

In terms of hymns, we like to sing both old favourites, and more modern worship songs. We have an organ and a sound system that plays piped music, and we use both of them over the course of a month.

Services usually come in at about 75 minutes, after which we all have tea, coffee and biscuits together.

On the first Sunday of every month, we also meet at 6pm for 'Prayer and Praise', an informal time of fellowship to talk, share, sing, pray, or whatever else you fancy!
